Manufacturing Connections, a sister organisation to Manufacturing Matters Magazine, has joined forces with the Department for Business and Trade to host a free webinar to help UK manufacturers unlock more overseas trade.
The free online event on 1st February is open to all manufacturers looking to start or expand their export operations. Representatives from the Department for Business and Trade will discuss the opportunities and Government support available to manufacturers, including on great.gov.uk
David Lomas, CEO of business support and networking group Manufacturing Connections said: “Information will be relevant for businesses of all sizes, and whether you are considering becoming an exporter or have plenty of experience in the sector. There will be a presentation and an opportunity to ask questions to an international trade adviser, and Government officials involved with the Advanced Manufacturing Plan.
“The manufacturing sector makes up more than 43% of all UK exports and employs around 2.6 million people, and there is Government support available to help these companies compete globally. Exports are such an important driver of economic growth that we have opened up this event to all manufacturers, even those outside our own network – simply sign up on Eventbrite.”
Manufacturing Connections is a strategic online discussion and events programme which puts together business leaders from the manufacturing sector. Its aim is to help manufacturers to collaborate and engage with each other, in order to discuss critical issues and develop their network and knowledge through peer learning and support.
